We wished for it, we had it: First ever 5th match
For some reason, we don't often see long 5 set matches in low division games but guess what: if you wish for it, you might have it or you may want to ask Maite to wish for it on your behalf because as the title says, it is exactly what happened on Friday. A Deal With the Sinterklaas: From a Set to a Game
Last week, a "secret" deal was established with Sinterklaas which was made publicly available in our WHAM poster. So the deal was to win a set to keep the gifts from Sinterklaas this year. Only a little bit more Energy!
Finally, after a week of "resting", we had a match with the presence of our ninja Coach Kay! As a regular preparation for the match (forget about the long warm-ups, some members were even late for a short one!), we had a filling dinner at Yasmin's place. Kudos go to chef Anna! One of the team members (Sevinj) proved to be an actual turtle by being 15 mins late to the dinner. But no worries, she cleaned all the dishes and we made it to the match!
