Kandidaat Bestuur
The 61th board of Harambee is happy to announce the new candidate board!
Candidate chairman
Martin Pozdech
This is Martin, the next chairman! If you can’t find him playing volleyball, then you might find him playing with trains for his study Civil Engineering. We are confident however that he will be on time more often than NS is. Martin also loves taking the bus, so don’t be afraid to challenge him to a game or two. Other activities you may find him doing include climbing rooftops or complaining about CounterStrike. Overall he is passionate and forthcoming, making him perfect to lead the association through its 62nd year!
Candidate secretary
Lotte Linders
Hii! This is Lotte, our candidate secretary! She studies Forensic Science, so if anything suspicious happens within the board next year, we already know who’s going to solve the case. Luckily, she mostly uses her detective skills for her studies; at least, we hope so. Besides keeping everything organised and typing out the minutes, she can be found on the volleyball court playing as a middle for Ladies 8. When she’s not busy collecting evidence or attempting to block balls, she likes to go for a run or practise her guitar. With her organised mind and enthusiasm, we’re sure Lotte will do an amazing job as secretary next year!
Candidate treasurer
Hugo Severt
This is Hugo, our candidate treasurer. This season he played as a middle in Gents 7, a rare and dying breed. He is currently very busy, as he is in his final year of studying Mechanical Engineering at Saxion, so he won't be around much for the first two months, but after that he'll be going all in! You might have already seen him around the stands drinking beers and creating a "goede sfeer", two things he loves to do. Next season you might even see him at Gents 1 matches. Not on the field, but in the referee chair. With how strict he is as a referee, we're sure our finances will be in good hands next year!
Candidate TCC
Mirthe Bloten
This is Mirthe. You might already know her as your amazing vice chairwoman, but next year she will be your TCC. Right now, she is studying Communication Science. She is still learning how to yap well, although she shows some promising talent. But if you ever want to help her practice, you should come by the Base! You didn’t hear this from me, but bringing alcohol does help in this ;). Nevertheless, she promises she’ll be sober for the teamdivisions.
Candidate WS/VSK
Freek Kingma
Hi, this is Freek, our candidate WS/VSK. You may not have seen him around, because he has been trying to wriggle out of his responsibilities by moving to Norway for half a year. He has promised to compensate for this by being “extra gezellig” when he is back. So challenge him to “bak in de hoek”, as he shares the current WS/VSK's passion. He is also an okay Biomedical Engineering student who trains his quick footwork in the field at the dance association 4 Happyfeet. Having spent enough time trying to dodge ref duty himself, we're confident he'll make sure everybody does their part, as he already knows all the tricks and excuses.
