Another battle, another test of will.
Set 1 — The Morning Fog
The first set started with that familiar low energy again. We really need to find the cure for that. Before we knew it, the enemy was pulling ahead, and chief had to make some early changes to wake us up. After that switch we started firing our cannons. Strong serves, solid blocks but our biggest weakness showed: we kept trying to hammer the enemy with raw power, even when it wasn’t working. Chief saw another path to victory, but despite the adjustments, that set slipped through our fingers. Lesson learned: next time, start with fire, not try to create it halfway through.
Set 2 — The Tip and Probe
The second set began with more fight — blocking, defending, still attacking with full force. But still not the smartest approach. Chief had to reshuffle the lineup again, because we clearly weren’t listening to the plan. After a timeout we finally accepted that brute strength alone wasn’t going to win this one. So we switched to tipping. And man, chief called it perfectly. The enemy just wasn’t mobile enough to catch those. We clawed our way all the way to a tie late game. Then chief made a tactical move, swapping the setter for an extra blocker, hoping to close the set. But luck didn’t swing our way. Suddenly we were down 2–0.
Set 3 — Momentum Strike
When the third set began, we all knew the stakes: all or nothing. Three sets in a row or we walk away with nothing. Odds weren’t in our favor, but commandos don’t step back from a fight. This set went smoothly — we executed the new plan, saw the results instantly, and crushed their defense without hesitation.
Set 4 — The Adjustment
In the fourth set the enemy started adjusting, trying to counter our tipping strategy. So naturally, we adjusted too. Since they were now worried about the soft balls, we hit them again with full-power attacks. Credit to our guys — the defense was relentless, chasing every ball, reading the game, and we locked down the fourth set with confidence.
Set 5 — Final Anchor
Then came the fifth. The final stand. And of course, bad luck greeted us right at the start. We fell behind 5–1, and it felt like the momentum was slipping. But after a quick timeout, after a brief reset, we stepped back onto the court with clear heads. Point by point, we climbed back. When the sides switched, the score was 8–7. And from there, our defense anchored the team, our serves hit their marks, and we finished the battle 15–8.
No matter the odds, no matter how heavy the pressure — commandos fight until the very last point. Always.
