A final push is needed
On the 7th of December our team was designated with the duty to protect our home grounds against the third place in the Promotion B class. The team was dedicated to win, regardless of the current positioning of the league teams. The game started smoothly, with us winning the first set. Game against Avior Heren 3
This Saturday, the team had to take a long journey to Deventer in order to face the opponents. During pre-game lunch, an unsolved mystery showed itself in the form of snail tracks on the floor of a house. We had to leave the investigation, since we had an important match to attend to. After losing the first set, we realized that even though the opponents clearly outperformed us, we could not leave the field without having tried our all in order to win. A refreshing win
The previous Saturday our team played against a lower ranked team in the league, Apollo 8 Heren 3. At the beginning we were still shy, since we forgot the taste of victory and got conditioned after being defeated heavily twice in a row with the scores of 4-0. Another crushing loss
This Wednesday, our team played against Bovo Heren 1. We started off slow, which resulted in us losing the first set in the end. What is disappointing about this loss is that during the second and third set, we managed to play the game that we should always play and had a great lead, with the score of 18-9 and 20-17 in sets 2 and 3 respectively. Match against Grol Heren 1
Last Satruday our team has embarked on a journey to challenge the current best team in promotion class B. As much as I would like to say that we fought to the very last second, some doubt could be heard in our voices at the beginning of the match. Keep the wins coming!
On the 19th of October, our team has travelled a long way in order to beat the team called Morgana DVO Heren 1 that resides in the "other" Hengelo. We won the first two sets with the scores of 25-21 and 25-23. Unfortunately, we could not make this win a clean sheet, as the oppsoing team won the third set with the score of 23-25. This weekend, we faced Tornax Heren 1 in what turned out to be a nail-biting five-set battle.
