After a big puzzle, we could play our first match against SVH SC gents 2 in a town mostly known for its Adventure Theme Park. For this we could misuse of the cancelled match of gents 6 of which we borrowed Casper, Ruud and Klaas. After the official decided to reveal himself, we could start the first set.

We needed some time the first set to get our head into the game, hence we needed to come back from a big difference. Sadly, we weren’t successful, and the set ended with a defeat of 25 – 22.

In the second set, we started immediately like we were supposed to do. This resulted in a win for us, even after allegedly having played multiple scores multiple times, with 19 – 25.

Unfortunately, we could not set this forth in the beginning of third set, and we had to settle on a 25 – 23 defeat.

Luckily, in the fourth set we played like we did in the second. And we won with a difference of 11 points.

Therefore, the match had to be fought out in a fifth set (a gents 5 classic), however fate was not in our favour as the set ended in a 15 – 11 loss.

Next Saturday we play at home at 3 p.m. against Set-Up ’65 gents 2, who must travel from Ootmarsum.
