Volleyball 101 1️⃣🏐1️⃣

Last Monday, Spiker ladies 1 from Eerbeek taught us how you should play a good cup match.👏🏼 They played very well and overall, they were really nice opponents.💛💙 Unfortunately, we did not reach our own volleyball level at any point during the game.👎🏼☹️

In the first set, we were getting used to the ball, the court, just as we normally do. 🏐 (<- Gala ball) 🥶 (<- temperature) We were not playing well in the first set. 🫠 We were scoring balls, but we were also making (a lot of) mistakes❌. We got behind💩, but then Mette👧🏼 came in with amazing serve series and we won the first set!!!!!!! 🥳

But then, the set 2 came... 🫥 We did not know how to pass, set, attack or block anymore, while Spiker was defending and scoring like flying unicorns. 🦄 And we were watching as if we were seeing flying unicorns, but we did not really do anything about it. 😱😶‍🌫️ Like, we did not even wave👋🏼❌🙄 Who wouldn't wave if they finally saw a unicorn?! 💩💩

Actually, even though we started okay-ish🙂, the third set was kind of the same as the set 2.😢 Also, our sweetest Eva got injured, so we hope she will recover soon. ❤️

Oh but the 4th set... We should not talk about this anymore😭 After we got to an okay score of 11-11, they started serving, and we had a total black out. ⬛ Imagine you are in group 1 and you just learned 1+2〽️, and deep down you know it is 3, but it just looks like 12 so much, and then it all goes wrong?🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘 That is what it was like. 😔 We were happy you did not have to see it. Well, most of you. To our best Harambeeërs that came to support us so very good💕, we are so, so sorry🫶🏼💜🧡

We did have some good things this Monday: amazing dinner made by Anouk😍 AND cake from one of the Saskia's😋. And from now, we will act like this Monday evening never happened😇.

Ps. Thank you, Harambee website for helping us forget. We cannot click the cup match, so apparently, this is not even a match report. So actually, what you were reading about was not a game. Nothing happened. :)
