⚡Heren Thunderdome vs. DROS Alterno Apeldoorn

After the long winter break we finally had the opportunity to play in the houten zaal again.

We were really looking forward to it, since our friends from Alterno Apeldoorn were coming to town, also with old Harambee gents 1 player Koen!

First some backstory to our Season with Alterno:

In Bourne we encountered Alterno the first time at the preparation tournament, after we figured out that we registered for two tournaments at the same day, one in Apeldoorn and one at Apollo. In that game we really needed to find into the tournament, and we lost.

The first leg, simultaneously the first match of the season, we won with 4-0 with a hope to start the season as well as we did the last. That did not turn out to be quite the reality, while we were still not starting up badly.

After winning from ATC in the cup we got our next opponent for the next round, none other than Alterno of course. We went a second time to Apeldoorn with a good plan that we could not translate to the reality. In the end we lost 1-3 and rode disappointed home.

So that was the plan for this game: redemption for the last game! Nearly everyone was on board (except for Leon, but who needs him?) and we started the game firing on every cylinder! With a 2-0 lead we got a little too comfortable and let Alterno back into the game. This continued in the last two sets, where we were unable to control them outright. With a hurting 2-3 loss we left the hall.

After starting to digest the game in the kantina we joined the remains of Alterno for some beers and snacks.

Tldr: We are 7-6 up in real Sets against Alterno ;D And we are really looking out to the next game!

Next Saturday against Apollo 1, the current frontrunner.
