Gents 5's second time against Time Out '75
On the 19th of November we played for the second time against Time-Out’75, this time in a seemingly quiet Sports Centre on campus. Since Mr. Oosterveld had injured himself during practice, we asked Mr. Van Tuil to substitute. We almost experienced some déjà vu from last year as during the warming up it almost seemed like they were not showing, but luckily for them they found the correct hall and after a few more minutes of warming up we could start the game.
To summarize the match, we lost with 1 – 3, so to start off on a positive note we won one set more than last time. The first three sets we lost and even though they were not bad, they certainly were able to defend balls we normally expect to score, the defeat still left a sour taste in our mouth. But we missed control and unison in some critical moments. However, we had a legit treat with our middle attacker such that their middle stop attempting to block the outside, and we kept playing the match on a semi consistent level such that when they started weakening, we won the last.
Saturday, we play against Apollo 8 in Borne, they are on place below us in the current ranking so it promises to be an exciting match nonetheless.
Quiet in SC it was when we played
Some got lost so it got slightly delayed
