First clash of the titans in 3rd division

On Valentine's day 2025, the first clash of the titans in the 3rd division took place in Borne. The difference in the rankings between both teams was very small and the coming two games would play a very important game in the championship race in the 3rd division. Playing against several old team members from Harambee also gave this game another extra challenge.

Unfortunately for Harambee, Apollo started off very well, showing why they deserved to be in the top positions in the 3rd division. Strong serves, a steady side-out and a long and sturdy block gave Harambee a really though challenge, that they couldn't overcome in the first three sets (25-13, 25-25 & 25-16).

Determined not to go back to Enschede empty-handed, we started the fourth and final set with a refreshed fighting spirit! The set went back and forth, while showing some very exciting volleybal. At the end of the set (25-25), a good serve and a killblock sealed decided the last set in favour of Harambee.

We hoped to reach a higher level during this game and take more sets from Apollo, but the race is not lost yet (and will be very exciting till the end)!

In a battle of spikes and of might,
Harambee took on Apollo that night.

With a fierce serve they came,
but they faltered in the game,
and lost three to one in the fight.
