Steel Nerves in Rijssen – Rivo Rijssen HS 1 vs Harambee HS 1

On the road again, and this time to Rijssen for another key clash in the 3rd Division. With a few tough weeks behind us, Harambee H1 was ready to show its steel. The matchup promised to be a close one—and it definitely delivered.

The first set opened in full throttle. Rivo brought intensity right from the start, and while we matched them stride for stride, they edged us out 25–23. But our samurai don’t fold easily. In the second set, we sharpened our focus, tightened the passing, and capitalized on their errors to take it 22–25.

Momentum now on our side, the third set was perhaps our best. Dominant serves and fast-paced attacks kept Rivo on the back foot, and we secured the set 15–25 with real authority.

The fourth was a tense and emotional one. Rivo weren’t done yet, and both teams traded points deep into the set. But with cool heads and some clutch plays, we closed it 23–25—bringing the match home 1–3 and adding four valuable points to our tally.

A hard-fought away victory that reminded us what we're capable of when we play our game.
