Holding the Fort – Harambee HS 1 vs Volley’68 HS 1

Zaterdag 8 februari 2025

Back in Enschede, back in front of our amazing home crowd, and back on the hunt for points. On February 8th, Harambee H1 welcomed Volley’68 HS 1 for another critical match in the third division. With the standings tightening and every game counting, this one was all about determination—and energy.

The first set set the tone (literally). Both teams exchanged blows in a very close set, but we kept our composure and edged it 25–23. Volley’68 responded well in the second, ramping up their serve pressure and disrupting our side-out. That one slipped away 21–25.

Time to reset—and so we did. The third set saw us take control. Our block tightened, our transitions flowed, and the crowd got louder. We pulled ahead and didn’t look back, taking it 25–21.

With momentum and the fans behind us, we entered the fourth set locked in. Volley’68 began to tire, and our defense made sure they couldn’t find easy points. We pushed through to close it 25–17—securing the 3–1 win and another strong showing on home soil.

Huge thanks to everyone who came out to support us. Your energy makes all the difference. We’ll keep fighting, together.

With banners high and voices bold,
Our home stood strong, a sight to behold.
Volley’68 came with fire in hand,
But we held our ground, made our stand.
Each serve and spike, a battle cry—
We guarded the fort and soared sky-high.
