Missing Man Mystery

The team was already aware that our opponents were formidabile, especially after their showing against Heren 3 last week. Despite specialized preparations to deal with their squad we still faced issues dealing with their team, who was already more experienced playing with eachother. Despite this, and the loss of every set in the match, we identified that the team continues to make steady progress and improvements. Each game we feel a little more cohesive. In moments when things are going our way and we are communicating effectively, we get a glimpse of the potential of the Heren 2 squad.

Quick Match Summary:

Set 1: Rivo maintained a steady lead throughout the set, though we stayed within a reasonable point gap. At the end of the set we made a special effort to bring ourselves back and force the tiebreak. After equalling our score at 25-25, Rivo took away the rest of the set.

Set 2: The team lost significant momentum. We maintained relative parity until around ten points. After this point we let the set slip away completely.

Set 3: Similarly demotivated, we didn't put up a significant fight, as is reflected in the scoresheet.

Set 4: Determined to try and scrape some points away from Rivo, the team started leading the set. At one point, the team was leading around 5 points. By around the 15 point mark we began commiting the same silly mistakes again. By this point we let the set slip away one final time, losing the game completely.

Also, it is important to note that we were not all there in the middle of the match. Some would say there was a middle of match missing middle man mystery that the Scooby Two gang had to solve.
