Protecting the Dojo – Harambee HS 1 vs Time Out’75 HS 1

Zaterdag 18 januari 2025

The first home match of 2025 was one to remember. Back in the Sportscentre and fueled by the cheers of our fantastic supporters (thank you for showing up in numbers!), Harambee H1 faced off once again against Time Out’75 HS 1. With the away win from December still fresh in our minds, we were determined to defend our dojo and keep the momentum alive.

The opening set was sharp and focused—good passing, smart swings, and effective blocking helped us take it 25–20. The second set, however, brought a different story. Time Out upped their game and we found ourselves scrambling at times. After a tense back-and-forth, we edged out the win 27–25 thanks to some clutch serving and calm heads.

The third set slipped from our grasp (16–25), with some miscommunication and unforced errors giving Time Out just enough space to take control. But we weren’t about to let things get complicated. Refocused and refueled by the home crowd’s energy, we came out strong in the fourth. Clean play and aggressive attacks sealed the deal: 25–20.

Another 3–1 win in the books—and four more league points. Home sweet home!

Within our walls, the battle was tight,
We fought with honor, strength, and might.
Time Out struck hard, but we stood tall,
Defending our dojo through rise and fall.
With every cheer from the homebound crowd,
Our victory cry rang fierce and loud.
