After a hassle to cycle 30 minutes to Borne, we started the match 20 minutes late and without warming up, but still we won set 1 big time! Not much to say about the second set tho. For set 3, we put it all in (because it is Jildou’s birthday) and got our well-deserved pitcher!!! We were bussin at the block-attack and defence!! Afgelopen weekend speelde dames 3 haar tweede bekerwedstrijd tegen niemand minder dan Julia Voogsgeerd (en een paar andere dames van Twente 05). De zaterdagochtend begon in de achtertuin van de familie Berger met een ontbijtje in het zonnetje. In true Julia-style was maar liefst één hele persoon uit het team op tijd, naast de huisbewoners natuurlijk. Today, we already played the second match of the season (‘vo)!   Just like last weak, we started with some lunch on the benches. However, unlike last weak, WE WON A SET!!!   Let me tell you exactly how that happened! Gents 6 kicked off the season off strong with a match against our sworn enemies - Volley 68' HS 2. Drums were banging, the arena was shaking with excitement as we smashed our way into winning the first set, with our dear captain, Ziad, leading the team with absolute dominance . Welkom hooggeëerd publiek bij het wedstrijdverslag van de eerste wedstrijd van dames [piiiiieeeep], die naam houden we nog maar even geheim. Voor het gewone volk varen wij ook wel onder de naam: dames 3.
