Still no sign of 'third time's a charm'
Aloha reader(s), Saturday, November 9th marked our fourth competition match of the season. After the first three matches, in which we only managed to win one set, we were again extra motivated to secure some points today. Our opponent, Ti-Volley, provided a good opportunity for us to get back on track, but unfortunately, things did not go as hoped. Reunion with old friend
Aloha reader(s), Already a week and a half ago, it was time for our match against Twente'05 DS1. Some of us had already faced (part) of this team in a preparation tournament at the starting of this academic year. This gave us a heads-up that we needed to stay alert throughout the game. There were also some 'new' faces on their team, including Laura, who now plays there. In the first set, we started strong and built up a nice lead. Aloha reader(s), Let us take you to the tropical vibes of last Saturday, when we played a match, had a nice team date with Gents 2, and wrapped up the day with the team presentations. De dag begon afgelopen zaterdag voor een aantal van ons al mooi op tijd met een bardienst. Hierbij kwamen onze samenwerk-skills goed van pas, ondanks dat we de rest van de dag geen maandburgers en weekspecials meer konden zien. Na de bardienst was het tijd om met een geheim project bezig te gaan (zal het iets met de teampresentaties te maken hebben?). Trial and error in Borne
Dear reader(s), Our second cup match also took place on a Wednesday. This time not in Enschede, but in Borne. We left in good spirits after a nice dinner with almost the whole team. Once we arrived, it was time to change and start warming up. As the game began, we found we should have warmed up a little better. In fact, within just under ten minutes, we were already facing a 16-7 deficit. Dear reader(s), After the vaka*, it was finally time to play our first (cup) match of the year, spannie! This was scheduled midweek, so, unfortunately, we had to skip the wo(e)mibo, because the match had, of course, our prio. But no worries, we had a hdp dinner mdm (and of course, Herwin).
